Anneleen Van Boxstael is an Assistant Professor whose research and teaching focus on entrepreneurship, technology innovation and entrepreneurial strategy. She takes a special interest in learning and managerial cognition during business founding, in settings of industry evolutions. Currently, she is engaged in innovation studies of music publishing, renewable energy transition and digitization of business. Anneleen also aims to understand programs that shape entrepreneurial ecosystems: user innovations, intermediary organizations, accelerator and incubation programs, communities of practices, advisory and funding programs.

Anneleen Van Boxstael received a PhD degree in Applied Economics at the Department of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Service Management of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Ghent University in 2015. During her Ph.D., she was a visiting researcher at the Chair of Entrepreneurship at Imperial College Business School London and at the Chair of Entrepreneurship Ecole Fédérale Polytechnique de Lausanne. In 2017, she was a master student at Tilburg University TISEM (Strategy & Organization). Her studies have been presented at international conferences including Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conferences, Academy of Management Conferences and Strategic Management Society Conferences.
