Research profile
Adarsh Subrahamanian Moosath is a Doctoral Candidate in the Dynamics and Control (D&C) group at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Under the supervision of Prof. Nathan van de Wouw, Dr. Rob Fey, and Dr. Fahim Shakib, his research focuses on developing hybrid and modular dynamic modelling techniques for complex high-tech systems. In collaboration with ASML, his work aims to enhance large-scale physics-based models of advanced industrial machines by integrating data-driven components, thereby enabling the construction of accurate hybrid models to support system (re-)design.
Academic background
Adarsh Subrahamanian Moosath obtained his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2020 from APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala, India. Following his undergraduate studies, he worked as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology from 2020 to 2021, where he focused on rover mobility and motion planning strategies for traversing uneven terrain.
He pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Dynamics and Control, at the Eindhoven University of Technology, and completed the program in 2023. As part of his MSc, he undertook an internship in which he applied a mutual information-based feature selection technique to an inverse mapping parameter updating framework. As part of his master’s thesis in collaboration with ASMPT, he developed a novel model updating approach based on state extension and augmentation, utilising deep subspace encoders to construct accurate dynamic models from existing physics-based equations.
In 2024, Adarsh began his doctoral research within the D&C group. His current research interests include hybrid modelling, system identification, state extension and augmentation, machine learning techniques for dynamic systems, and structural dynamics.
