Introductie / missie
The research mission of Giulia Finotello's group is to develop metal powder production, deposition and reactive process technologies, focusing on sustainability and circular economy principles. The research investigates spray technologies (gas and ultrasonic atomization) to optimize metal particle characteristics for additive manufacturing. Additionally, the group explores energy applications within the metal fuel cycle, aiming to regenerate combusted powder. The multidisciplinary team integrates design, experimentation, and simulation to develop metal powder processes.
