Over de organisatie

The Center for Care & Cure Technology Eindhoven (C3Te) focuses on multi-disciplinary research in the care and cure domain. By connecting the technological strengths of Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics with clinical partners and industry, collective knowledge is expanded leading to sustainable improvement of healthcare. In the last years, C3Te has established a strategic network, in which collaborative innovations for health care in the areas of multimodal sensing, advanced imaging, ICT embedded systems and ubiquitous computing played a crucial role for improving diagnosis and treatment of patients. Additionally, the development of ambulant and unobtrusive monitoring systems contributed to adapting treatment approaches for enhancing patient well-being.

C3Te focusses on wide range of technologies in four essential areas where innovation on ultrasound, MRI, Photonics, artificial intelligence, signal processing and patient modelling, can make a significant contribution: neurology, perinatology, oncology, and cardiology. Each of these areas has lead researchers developing the roadmap of their area and creating connections within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics.

C3Te has a strategic network of clinical collaborations and industrial partners. The connection to all major hospitals in the Netherlands and the strong track record of Electrical Engineering with successful spinoffs and new healthcare ventures, creates unique opportunities to develop innovative ideas that are ahead of the industry and exploits the flexibility and steering ability of a dynamic academic environment.

"Our center forms the fertile grounds required for developing truly innovative technologies with clinical impact in close collaboration with medical and industrial experts".

Maarten Paulides, Scientific Director C3TE
