Inspired by biology, the TU/e soft robotics lab aims at solving challenges where conventional rigid body systems fall short. At TU/e soft robotics lab, we are focused on addressing the fundamental challenges such as mobility, control, dexterity and haptic perception through soft bodies made of hyper elastic materials. The research team focuses on fabrication, numerical analysis, control and experimental validation techniques to realize these challenges and extend the scope of soft robotics applications. The unique compliant characteristics of soft robotics makes it a reliable option for human-machine interaction applications such as teleoperation, virtual reality, prosthesis and rehabilitation.
