Our group supports the Dutch industry in developing materials with tuned and optimised mechanical properties. Over the past decades, the gain in strength and ductility in the recent generation of materials has been impressive. Our group specialises in the developments of particular unique materials, i.e. dynamic metamaterials, designed to capture waves propagating in solids.
