The Motion Control laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art mechatronic systems for cutting-edge research and challenge-based education.
The Motion Control laboratory houses state-of-the-art mechatronic systems, where new control algorithms are being implemented to achieve unparalleled precision motion. Systems include an overactuated prototype wafer stage, an overactuated/oversensed reticle state, an industrial flatbed printer, an interventional X-ray, a vibration isolation system. The laboratory provides a combined educational and research facility, including Challenge-Based Learning assignments, internships, MSc thesis projects, and PhD research. The technical staff (mechanical and electrical) provide support and create a stimulating environment to carry out experiments in the laboratory. State-of-the-art real-time hardware, data acquisition, and measurement equipment is available, including multiple Speedgoat systems.
