How do smart city technologies affect the built environment and the way we use the built environment? In this course you gain knowledge on ongoing technological research relevant to the development of smart cities with an emphasis on smart energy, smart mobility, and digital communications. After an introduction into these fields, teams of students will work on two assignments. First, each team investigates a problem or challenge and writes a plan to approach the problem/challenge. In the second part, this plan will be executed in order to solve the problem or challenge. This is a challenge based learning (CBL) course.
