The student will perform a short research project under the supervision of a qualified researcher. The topic is within the expertise area of this qualified researcher and is selected by the student him/herself and/or the qualified researcher. The aim of the project is to perform real academic research on a small scale, i.e., to develop new parts of a theory or to explore new paths in a try to discover new results.Doelstellingen
The main objective is to discover what research is, and to discover whether a student has the capabilities to become a PhD student after the master program. This second mini-research project is executed on another topic than the first mini-research project (1HM01). In this way, a student discovers the ins and outs of a second topic, and can compare them with those of the topic of the first mini-research project. The more detailed objectives are:
- Identifying gaps in the scientific literature;
- To execute scientific research, under the supervision of a qualified researcher;
- The ability to build new theory;
- The ability to describe research results in a written report.
