The class Macro-Organic Chemistry is aiming at an in-depth use of the molecular knowledge using the chemistry that was introduced by the classes “Introduction Chemistry and Chemical Engineering” and “Organic Chemistry”. In the class a number of molecular building blocks will be discussed in conjunction with their applications; how to design, synthesize, and characterize functional molecules is an important part of the class. Furthermore, a theoretical background will be presented on several issues related on synthesis and reactivity.
