- Machine learning fundamentals
- Performance evaluation of machine learning models
- Supervised machine learning models (methods for regression and classification)
- Unsupervised machine learning models
- Deep learning models
- Optimization and regularization of machine learning models
- Applications of machine learning in medical imaging (segmentation, detection, computer-aided diagnosis etc.)
- Applications of machine learning in computational biology (data-driven patient stratification and biomarker discovery, analysis of gene expression data, predicting phenotype etc.)
- Training (deep) machine learning models in Python
Doelstellingen
After completing the course, the student will be able to:- Recognize how machine learning methods can be used to solve problems in medical imaging and computational biology.
