Omschrijving

The goal of this course is to provide the students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge on data processing and AI algorithms  to multi-physics modelling and design problems in the context of mechanical engineering. By doing so the students will experience the need of combining multidisciplinary and AI knowledge in order to develop suitable data processing and reduction methods, and machine learning algorithms. In this course the students will be able to choose out of a number of projects related to multi-physics modelling and design and carry them out in groups. The projects are directly connected to current research of the lecturers involved, ensuring a high level of relevance of the acquired knowledge

Doelstellingen

  1. Students should be able to apply knowledge on data processing and AI algorithms to multi-physics modelling and design problems systems and applications.

  3. Students will learn to exploit machine learning techniques to optimize and design systems governed by multi-physics interactions, focusing on performance, efficiency, and robustness under various operating conditions.
