Introduction to Laboratory Skills

Cursus

Omschrijving

At the heart of Applied Physics lies the ability to perform scientific research by doing experiments and building models to unravel, understand, and employ physical phenomena. The key to the scientific method starts with transparent, meticulous, and transferable logging of the methodologies used and the data gathered. The course Introduction to Laboratory Skills provides you with the basic experimental skills and statistical tools to perform physics experiments and objectively interpret the data obtained. You will learn to use lab-journals as the means to collect your observations and findings in a concise and scientific manner. And you will learn to store and use data based on FAIR data management principles so that others can confirm and use your findings. This course is the start of the experimental learning line in the Applied Physics program.
