After passing the course, the student is able to:1. Predict chemical properties based on electronic configuration of atoms and simple molecules
2. Draw correct Lewis structures with charges and resonance forms
3. Indicate the electron distribution in a molecule
4. Identify the most stable spatial form of all conformations of a molecule
5. Name the configurations of stereocenters and double bonds
6. Determine the order of acidity of different molecules
7. Calculate thermodynamic quantities and the equilibrium constant of a chemical reaction.
8. Determine the reaction products of substitutions, eliminations, and additions
