In this course we aim to provide you with a broad sampling of the most relevant tools used for innovation creation. These methods are widely adopted in the domain of business design, service and strategy design. In this course you and your team of peers will act as design innovation consultants working for a client case study. As you delve into understanding more about your company case study you will use tools and methods introduced in class via lectures and workshops to create innovative suggestions to propose new business concepts for your client. We use a variety of learning methods to speak to different kinds of learners providing opportunities for coaching sessions, co-learning strategies and class progress presentations. As in class interaction is an important aspect of our teaching strategy and group work underpins much of our course deliverables we expect you to be available on campus for time slot E (Tu 5-8, Th 1-4). Beyond group work you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of relevant tools by applying them in your own current or past project. This provides an valuable opportunity to show integration of new knowledge and skills within your semester project.
