Design for Games & Play III; Playful Interactions

People are inherently playful as Huizinga (1938) pointed out in his book Homo Ludens. In the definition of Huizinga, play is restricted to a specific time and place he called the 'magic circle'. Today play is integrated in our everyday life, for example, in digital games, social networks, smartphone apps, interactive toys, or art. This course teaches you to use mechanisms of play for shaping (social) experiences that are not only fun, but can also be used to learn, regulate, rehearse, or involve.
