Titel Structural design using an unusual material Mate van erkenning Nationaal Mediatype Print Duur / lengte / grootte 2 pagina's Land/Regio Nederland Release datum 15/06/22 Beschrijving Ice is a well-known material, but quite uncommon as a building material. To learn more about this material's potential,
its properties and the form finding process have been researched. Eventually leading to the construction of the Sagrada
Familia in Ice, realized in January and February of 2015 in Juuka, Finland. Due to climate change the temperature in
Finland fluctuates often, ranging between temperatures of +3 °C and -30 °C. This makes realizing ice structures in Finland
a challenging task. Two out of tree projects were successful, whereas one collapsed due to major rainfall one week before
the opening of the structure. Nevertheless, all projects were interesting and successful, and with a lot of support and a
warm welcome by the local community of Juuka, Finland.Producent / auteur koers URL https://koerstue.nl/articles Personen Arno D.C. Pronk
