Beschrijving
Plasma-based processing of sensitive materials often uses sources from the family of non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasmas, for their ability to treat substrates without causing thermal damage and without delivering a lot of current to the target. However, the nature of these plasmas is such that they are sensitive to the vicinity of other objects, meaning that the properties of the treated substrate have an influence on the properties of the plasma. In other words, the plasma-substrate forms a system whose parts are interdependent. It is therefore imperative that plasma-substrate interactions be taken into account when performing diagnostics on the plasma. In this talk the accent will be on the manner in which the presence of targets changes fundamental plasma properties.Periode | 15 dec. 2021 |
