Software architecture is known to reflect the organizational structure of companies developing software (Cf. the so called Conway’s law/mirroring hypothesis). Therefore, understanding the ways people communicate and collaborate in software projects is an essential prerequisite to understanding, assessing and improving software architecture. In this talk we touch upon two related topics: diversity in engineering team composition and emotions expressed by engineering teams.
