Beschrijving

In this talk recent developments in superconducting linear motion technology are presented. While MAGLEV trains falls in the category of large-scale applications, it is envisioned that superconducting technology for motion systems, of an actuation length less than a meter, has enormous potential to revolutionize the manufacturing factor for higher throughput. The processes of developing one are presented.
