The Conference on the Metal-enabled Cycle of Renewable Energy (MeCRE) will take place in Darmstadt, Germany, on November 13–15, 2024. It will provide a forum to exchange on metals as innovative energy carriers in a renewable energy system providing heat and hydrogen. Both fundamental and application oriented research from academia and industry will be discussed.The conference is organized by Clean Circles in collaboration with the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), who organized the 1st MeCRE Workshop in 2022.
The main topics of the MeCRE Conference include, but are not limited to*:
metal oxidation in air and water
reduction of metal oxides
recyclability and safety aspects of metallic energy carriers
sustainability, energy system and political integration of metallic energy carriers
perspective on industrial applications and environments
It is our pleasure to invite you and your co-workers and students to present your research work in an oral or poster presentation. The extended deadline for abstract submission is July 15, 2024. Notification of acceptance will be given until August 1, 2024.
