Placing inkjet droplets with high accuracy is crucial to achieve high print quality. The requirements for droplet position accuracies are challenging high, in the order of tens of microns. One of the causes of droplet positioning errors is an inaccurate media step. Inaccurate media steps are labeled as media step errors and have visible effects in the sense of decreasing print quality. In this paper an online correction method is proposed, correcting the visible effects of media step errors using 'invisible' printed markers for error measurement.
