Wide-range tunable refractometer based on orbital angular momentum of light

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a programmable refractive index sensor utilizing orbital angular momentum of light where the sensitivity, resolution, and dynamic range can be controlled in real-time, thus addressing many challenges in refractometry and remote sensing.
