Abstract

The volatile constituents, obtained by steam distillation, of rhizomes of A. laosensis (from Vietnam), were analysed by capillary GC and GC-MS. Eighty-two compounds were observed of which 64 were identified. The main component was 1,8-cineole [eucalyptol] (43.9%). No other constituents amounted to more than 5%.
