Abstract
The Vitality Living Lab (VLL) project is a partnership of businesses, research- and knowledge institutes in Eindhoven with specific interest in promoting physical activity and improving vitality. Building on the unique infrastructure and knowledge base of the Brainport region, through this project they aim to collect and combine relevant (big) data to create a unique ecosystem for innovation and business creation in the domain of sport and vitality.
The main role of TU/e in the VLL project is to design and provide the data (eco)system. Using a research-through-design approach, the system is being built as a means for research and vitality mapping. By connecting the involved parties and varying kinds of datasets, the platform will not only provide an overview of the available vitality-related data but it will boost innovation, business creation and vitality research. With Data Visualization as a main feature, the platform will also enable its users to effectively share their data and findings.
