Abstract
This article presents the jOptimum project, a linear and multilinear modeling package featured to teaching
mathematical programming disciplines. We describe the problems that can be solved using jOptimum and
how it is integrated with solvers. We also argue why the package is useful for learning and explain details
about the project and its development stage.
