Abstract
Femtosecond pump-probe spectroscopy was used to investigate an oligo(phenylene vinylene)-fullerene dyad with 4 phenyl groups. Photoexcitation of the oligomer led to an intramolecular energy transfer to the fullerene. A fast intramolecular electron transfer was observed due to stabilization of the charge-separated state by the polar medium.
