    Abstract

The influence of flow and structural uncertainties on the reliability of a panel interacting with a supersonic flow are studied. First, the probability of failure of a panel with deterministic structural properties is computed by means of a conditional reliability analysis based on a first-passage formulation. Then an unconditional reliability analysis is performed in order to include the effects of structural uncertainties . Two sensitivity-based methods, the perturbation method and the fast integration method, are used to compute the unconditional probability of failure.
