Abstract

The essential oils, which were obtained by steam distn. of the leaves, stems and roots of A. schmidtti, were analyzed by high resoln. gas chromatog. (GC) and GC/mass spectrometry, and by IR and NMR spectrometry. It was found that the oils contained a high content (90-95%) of trans-p-(1-butenyl)anisole
