Towards large-scale InP optical phased arrays

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperAcademic

Abstract

Scalability is crucial in optical phased arrays (OPAs) because the number of channels determines the range and beam forming characteristics. We discuss the challenges towards large-scale OPAs based on indium phosphide, enabling amplitude and phase control, and present recent results based on high-density butt-joint integration.
