Titanium Dioxide Waveguide Based Grating Coupler for Fiber-to-Chip Vertical Coupling

Abstract

We present an efficient titanium dioxide-TiO2 grating coupler integrated with single mode waveguide, which allows fiber-to-chip coupling efficiency of 50%. This is so far reported the highest coupling efficiency with TiO2 based grating coupler.
