    Abstract

For some recent experiments thermodynamical data on nitrogen were required over as wide a temperature and pressure range as possible. The experiments carried out in the Van der Waals Laboratory supplied these data only between 0° and 150°C for pressures up to 3000 atmospheres. Compressibility data overlapping those mentioned, but extending in temper ature down to -185°C and in pressure up to 6000 atmospheres, have been published elsewhere. From these data thermodynamical functions have been calculated for temperatures between -125°C and +150°C and densities up to 760 Amagat (pressure about 5500 atmospheres).
