Abstract

The dimeric structure of Al(acac)2L (Hacac = acetylacetone, HL = catechol) was elucidated by NMR spectroscopy and vapor phase osmometry. In soln. the 3 geometric isomers of the dimer are in equil. with monomeric species. At high concns. even trimeric and/or polymeric species have to be considered in the equil. [on SciFinder (R)]
