The (p,d) reaction on 58Ni at 24.6 MeV

    In this work (p,d) reactions on 58Ni were studied, initiated by 24.6 MeV polarised protons and leading to several final states in 57Ni. The cross sections and analysing powers obtained experimentally were compared with DWBA and CC calculations, confirming spin and parity assignments. Two-step transitions (p,p')(p',d') were found to contribute substantially to some of the transitions.
