Abstract

Following the ‘product based design’ approach, a process model can be generated directly from the product data model, i.e. a specification of the end product. Such end products, however, can be subject to change, and generating a new process model for every small change, can become a burden. Changes to the product data model affect the corresponding process model. In this paper these effects are investigated, to be able to alter the process model, based on changes in the product data model, without the need to regenerate the process model from scratch.
