Abstract

This paper describes the impact of amplifier nonlinearity in Phase-Modulated Continuous Wave (PMCW) radar. Several waveforms are considered as each is impacted differently. The different impact caused by PA, LNA and VGA in the transceiver are also analyzed. Simulation results from numerical models confirm the presented analysis and exemplify various relevant use-case scenarios.
