Abstract
In this report the in
uence of time delay on the synchronization of two Furuta pendula will
be examined through simulations and experiments. A working model of a Furuta pendulum
is designed. Also stability boundaries for synchronizing two pendula are calculated. It
is shown that through the in
uence of time-delay the error system stabilizes slower, or
can even be destabilized. Also the time-delay can change the systems' synchronization
behavior.
