    Abstract

Studies on the mech. properties and deformation mechanisms of composites from 4 matrix materials, i.e., polystyrene [9003-53-6], polycarbonate, acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer [9003-54-7], and polypropylene [9003-07-0], with 2 types of filler materials, i.e., spherical glass and Al2O3 beads with diams. of 0.035-100.00 m, showed that the morphol. of the matrix was dependent on the amt. and type of filler and the deformation mechanism of the composites was dependent on the filler particle size.
