Abstract
The field dependence of the heat capacity of (C6H11NH3)CuBr3 has been analysed. The overall behavior for 1.5 K <T <7 K and B <7 kG is confronted with the classical sine-Gordon model. The observed deviations are mainly due to spin-components out of the easy-plane, which tend to cancel the quantum (sine-Gordon) effects in this s=1/2 system.
