Abstract
The Amsterdam ArenA is a multifunctional stadium that is used for sports games, concerts and other events. The ArenA was the first stadium in Europe to be equipped with a retractable roof. The retractable roof enforces the stadium’s multifunctional character. No HVAC systems are present in the ArenA so the air exchange rate is governed by natural ventilation through opeflings in the façade of the stadium.
