Abstract

The effect of column temperature on the separation of the sixteen polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) of mixture SRM 1647a of the US Environmental Protection Agency has been studied on different micropacked ODS columns. lsothermal temperature optimization was successfully applied for complete separation on a polymeric ODS stationary phase, whereas temperature programmed conditions were selected for separation on a monomeric ODS stationary phase.
