Abstract

Future indoor networks will be heterogeneous as different radio access technologies will co-exist at the same place. A large number of wireless devices for different applications are going to operate almost everywhere with various traffic demands. Spectra, power and space are the limited resources that need to be utilized efficiently to meet the capacity and coverage demand, which essentially makes the indoor wireless cloud complicated. This promotes a converging technique that can manage and catalyze the network accessing and provide flexibility, scalability and cost-effectiveness.
