Abstract
Butadiene-C2H4-propene terpolymers are synthesized by Ziegler-Natta polymn. Variation of the amts. of propene and C2H4 leads to products with propene contents 5-30 mol% (referring to monomeric units) in the polymer. These polymers are terpolymers with alternating units of butadiene-C2H4 and butadiene-propene sequences as shown by means of NMR investigations. The degree of crystallinity can be varied (10-51 mol%) by different incorporation of propene into the terpolymer (X-ray diffraction). The thermal behavior is characterized using DSC investigations. Depending on the propene content in the terpolymer the degree of crystallinity significantly influences the parameters of the glass transition and the melting process. [on SciFinder (R)]
