Abstract

In this paper we consider the problem of the existence andstability of invariant manifolds in a network of diffusivelycoupled identical systems. It is shown that the existence of asymmetry in the network implies the existence of linear invariantmanifolds. This correspond to so called partialsynchronization, or clusterization, a phenomenon occurringwhen some subsystems from the network operate in a synchronousmanner. Conditions guaranteeing global asymptotic stability of thepartial synchronization manifolds are presented.
