Abstract

A method to produce a multiphase polymer-based film by polymg. monomer in the presence of a non-reactive liq. crystal and a dichroic photoinitiator whereby the polymn. is initiated by the use of linearly polarized light, the initial mixt. being cholesteric before polymn. is described. A multiphase polymer-based film obtainable by the method is also described. A band reflector, display, switch or sunscreen comprising the film is also described. [on SciFinder (R)]
