Abstract

The aim of the project was to achieve the production of precipitated nano-silica from the dissolution of Olivine (a magnesium silicate mineral) in acid at a pilot scale, and use the data obtained from the test work to demonstrate that it is an economically viable process which can lead to the next stage of commercialization.
