Surface three-body recombination in spin-polarized atomic hydrogen

Abstract

The authors calculate the rate of H plus H plus H surface recombination for hydrogen atoms adsorbed on a **4He film. The conclusion is that the surface dipolar recombination mechanism is unlikely to be responsible for the experimentally observed rapid decay rates.
