Abstract

Results for the relay channel without delay (EI Gamal and Hassanpour [2005]) are shown to be straightforward consequences of the results of Cover and EI Gamal [1979], using techniques proposed by Shannon [1958] for his side-information channel. Capacities of the semi-deterministic and degraded relay channel, all without delay, are therefore simple to obtain.
