Abstract

The technology behind splines (mechanically as well as digitally) inspires the intuitive construction process of curved structures, initiated from a flat plane. In the spirit of splines, the shaping process of Vacuumatics is aided by its so-called ‘flexibility control’, which enables Vacuumatics to be applied as a truly flexible, reconfigurable, reusable and self-supporting formwork system.
