Abstract
The position of a mobile terminal has a significant influence on its probability to capture the central receiver in a base station of a cellular radio system using slotted ALOHA for multiple access. Integral transforms of the received power probability density function prove a useful tool for analyzing spatial distributions of offered and throughput packet traffic in a mobile data network with Rayleigh fading channels. Both incoherent and coherent cumulation of interference signals are considered. In both cases, a uniform throughput distribution is synthesized numerically.
